Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has named a 25-man squad to represent Kenya in the upcoming CECAFA Four Nations Tournament, which kicks off this month in Arusha, Tanzania.
The tournament will serve as a critical build-up for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
McCarthy emphasized the importance of the competition in preparing for CHAN, noting that it would offer a valuable opportunity to assess player readiness and team cohesion against top regional opponents.
“It is a good tournament to gauge our preparedness for CHAN. We are going to face formidable opponents and that will clearly show us what is working and what needs to be fixed,” said McCarthy during the squad unveiling.
