Actress and singer Halle Bailey has been granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), following allegations of physical, verbal, emotional, and financial abuse.
In court documents filed in Los Angeles, Bailey detailed multiple incidents of alleged abuse, including a January 2025 altercation during a custody exchange where DDG allegedly slammed her face into a steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth and bruises. She also recounted a March incident where DDG allegedly entered her home without permission and sent her a photo of her bed with a suggestive message.
The restraining order mandates that DDG stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and their 17-month-old son, Halo, and prohibits him from possessing firearms. Bailey has also been granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of Halo, with a court hearing scheduled for June 6 to determine the possibility of extending the restraining order.
Bailey expressed concern for her and her son’s safety, stating, “I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer.” She has requested that any visitation by DDG be supervised and that he be barred from obtaining travel documents for Halo without her consent.
DDG has not publicly commented on the allegations. The case has sparked discussions on social media, with some individuals expressing support for Bailey and others questioning the motives behind the restraining order.
Bailey and DDG began dating in 2022 and separated in October 2024. Their son, Halo, was born in December 2023
