Liverpool FC have officially announced the signing of French striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, pending international clearance.
The 23-year-old forward completed his medical and agreed personal terms with the club, and is now set to link up with his new teammates in Hong Kong later this week as part of the Reds’ pre-season tour of Asia.
Ekitike joins Liverpool after a highly productive spell in the Bundesliga, where he scored 26 goals in 64 appearances for Frankfurt. His stellar performances earned him a place in the 2024/25 Bundesliga Team of the Season, further underlining his attacking prowess.
A product of Stade de Reims, Ekitike made his name in Ligue 1 before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2022. He featured 33 times for the French giants and collected a Ligue 1 winner’s medal during his time in the capital.
His move to Eintracht Frankfurt, initially on loan, turned permanent after impressive displays. Now, he makes the next step in his career by joining the Premier League under new Liverpool head coach Arne Slot.
Ekitike becomes the latest summer addition to a growing Liverpool squad, joining Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Florian Wirtz as part of the club’s rebuild.
A dynamic forward known for his pace, positioning, and finishing, Ekitike is expected to bring added firepower to Liverpool’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
